The Beaumont Enterprise staff on Friday took home 56 awards from the Press Club of Southeast Texas' annual Excellence in the Media Awards and banquet, held at the MCM Eleganté Hotel in Beaumont. The Enterprise was the most-awarded entity of the night, earning twice as many awards as the second-most awarded entity, 12NewsNow, which took home 28 awards. Staff members and contributors earned awards over 28 categories spanning the Newspaper, Digital, Magazines and Open divisions, in which entrants compete across all types of media outlets.
